The intent of this board is to allow a forum for discussion about cancer, sarcoma, and in particular, Desmoplastic small round cell tumor (DSRCT). Topics, however, are wide open. I have created a few categories to give people an idea of the types of discussions possible on this board. Members of the board are encouraged to offer suggestions for additions or deletions.
It is also possible to create 'private' password protected areas of the bulletin board. If anyone would like to have a private area, you may just ask for that space here. The benefit to a private area is that you can discuss sensitive issues without public input. I have had some experience with this in a private Family forum where I kept in touch with family throughout our stay in the hospital. Family from all over the country were able to access the forum with a password.
Hopefully, this bulletin board will allow people with a common interest to interact and find comfort, solace, information, and fellowship. In order to serve the needs of the membership, the board will be allowed to develop naturally in which ever direction the interest lies. Some may feel more comfortable discussing the latest news, research, or treatment. While others may wish to just have a place to come and vent, rant, rave, praise, laugh, cry, or just chat. I have also created a category for those who might wish to share their poetry, writings, or art work. The point is that this board is available to serve the needs of all its members, whether they be cancer survivors, patients, caregivers, siblings, friends, or family.
So, welcome to all who venture here. Take a look around. Don't be shy to post. It may look quiet at first, but hopefully people who have a need to talk about this disease will be able to find their way here.
Welcome.
